Kenneth Morton

 

 

Technologist

 

Ken Morton has over 40 years of experience conducting defense acquisition endeavors.  While working at the Naval Air Systems Command, Mr. Morton provided leadership and expertise in technology development, program management, warfare and systems analysis, and technology assessment.  This tasking improved the operational capabilities of the US Special Operations Command, Naval Aviation, US Marine Corps, Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization (JIEDDO), and other agencies, services and partner nations.

While serving a tour as Office of Naval Research Science Advisor, Ken identified technology gaps in naval tactical aviation and worked with government and industry labs and sponsors to identify and champion technologies to fill those gaps.  This experience required extensive coordination between industry and government organizations to ensure all participants had common understanding of the requirements and objectives.
