Mike Marks

 

Chief Information Officer

 

Mr. Marks is the Chief Information Officer of On Point Cyber, responsible for information technology (IT) strategy, the computer systems required to support objectives, and for the management, implementation and usability of information and computer technologies to benefit customers through improved business processes and system integration.  Mr. Marks will be an integral participant in the company's cyber security collaboration and information sharing activities with the United States Government to help prevent or mitigate risks to the Nation's public and privately owned/operated protected systems.

 

Mr. Marks combines a Juris Doctorate degree and TS/SCI clearance with over 25 years of experience in the defense, intelligence and homeland security arena. He has worked in Western and Eastern Europe, Africa and the Far East as well as Central and South America, and deployed through 2011-2012 with the Combined Forces Special Operations Component Command-Afghanistan and the Afghan National Army Special Operations Advisory Group.

 

An Adjunct Professor on WMD and counterterrorism at the George Washington University College of Forensic Science for 12 years, Mr. Marks has produced training programs that have been integrated into police and emergency responder certification requirements in 27 states, to include notable adoption within: the U.S. Army Special Operations Command, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Drug Enforcement Agency, the Central Intelligence Agency, the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the U.S. Secret Service, as well as institutions such as  Oklahoma State University, the American College of Forensic Examiners, the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and the U.S. Army / FBI Hazardous Devices School. He has developed courseware for the Shenandoah University School of Pharmacy’s Bioterror curriculum as well as a Master’s-Level Homeland and CyberSecurity program for Universitá Guglielmo Marconi in Rome, Italy.  In addition, he authored the three-level National Homeland Security Certification program in use by the American College of Forensic Examiners and co-authored the Handbook on Narrative Warfare Operations for the US Army Asymmetric Warfare Group.
